Before delving into philosophy, Dr. Bulger earned a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering/Geology from the University of North Dakota, grounding his inquiries in the tangible realities of the natural world. A passionate homebrewer for decades, he further honed his expertise by passing the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) exam in 2015, becoming a certified beer judge. This certification not only reflects his deep understanding of brewing processes but also his commitment to excellence in the craft.

Dr. Bulger’s career is marked by a dedication to education and mentorship. He has developed and delivered a wide array of courses and mentored over 50 students who presented their research at the National Conference of Undergraduate Research (NCUR).
